  • Tom Makowski, Esq. President

    Tom Makowski, Vice President of Business Development/General Counsel at Borton-Lawson, is a lawyer, industry and government professional with over 30 years of experience, ranging from private law practice and directing government agencies to performing corporate, government and industry relations.  Tom has served government on the local, state, and federal levels, as a Legislative Assistant in the US House of Representatives, a municipal solicitor and as elected Chairman of the Luzerne County Commissioners.  He is highly regarded for building partnerships in the public and private sector, and for establishing community relations initiatives, policy, and strategy.  Tom has also been active in many community organizations, serving on numerous boards and committees. 

    Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, and received his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C.

  • Keri Neidig Vice President

    Co-Founder of GLVA and Director, Business Development for Sallie Mae, Keri is passionate and driven to keep GLVA organized and successful. She also holds volunteer positions with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (PASFAA).  As the newsletter editor, she is responsible to organize, edit and publish quarterly publications for the associations’ 1,000 members.  As the Institutional Support Services Sector Representative, Keri has a voting position within the association's Executive Council. She has been recognized with the PASFAA President’s Award for her service.

    Keri currently resides in Bethlehem with her husband, Eric and two sons, Luke and Ethan.  

  • Diane Horvath Treasurer

    A recently retired Assistant Director of Budgets at Community Services for Children (CSC), Diane was responsible managing $45 million in budgets.  Prior to her role at CSC, where she worked for 14 years, Diane was the Executive Director at Maximum Care, Inc.  In this position, she managed all office and personnel functions as well as doing bi-weekly payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, Medicare, County Contract and Private duty billing.

    Diane lives in Bethlehem where she enjoys spending time with her family, including watching her grandsons develop a love of football.

    A former Navy Seaman E-3 and current outside sales representative for ABC Supply Co., Steve has a true passion for coaching children and teaching them how to be a great teammate and sportsman.  He enjoys spending time with his children, playing golf, riding ATV's, hunting, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.  Steve currently resides in Bethlehem with his two sons, Andrew and Nathan.

  • Jessica Gilli Member

    Jessica grew-up in the Slate Belt region of the Lehigh Valley and even though she now lives in New Jersey, the Lehigh Valley still holds a special place in her heart. When it came time to choose a college, Jessica loved the location and reputation of Moravian College. She graduated in 2008 with a degree in Business Management. During her time at Moravian, Jessica became the fundraising chair of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. Through her and ZTA’s joint fundraising efforts, they were able to donate thousands of dollars to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, ZTA’s chosen philanthropy. Jessica was also the President of her Pre-Law Club and headed-up many fundraising activities, in order to provide funds for visits to law schools in NY, NJ and neighboring Philadelphia, as well as LSAT exam preparation classes. Upon graduation, Jessica went on to do outside sales in the Lehigh Valley and has continued her successful career in outside sales in Northern NJ. She resides in Mahwah, NJ with her husband, Dane and English Bulldog, Reuben.
